This month’s NIH Research & Consulting (NIHR) Staff Feature is on Dawn Abbey! Dawn brings over 25 years of experience in dedicated healthcare industry and sales experience to our team.

Why are you passionate about the Healthcare Industry?

I’ve been passionately involved in the industry for over 25 years and it’s been amazing to be part of the massive progress. I have seen it grow, and I’ve witnessed both positive and negative changes that have evolved. My extensive knowledge allows me to help our clients and their prospects take advantage of the many resources available that improve the industry. It’s great to be part of the change and help equip them with the tools to enhance the clinical side, provide better patient care, and also advance their financial bottom line.

What do you enjoy most about working with NIH Research & Consulting clients?

We have top-tier clients with quality products, and I really enjoy working with them. I work alongside the sales reps and we have a great rapport.

I am also really passionate about learning the unique technical aspects of new products and services. I like conducting the competitor analysis and expanding my knowledge on the technical aspect of each product I’m selling.

What do you like most about the NIHR culture?

Robin and Cindy are fantastic. They allow us to really spread our wings and utilize our strengths.

What do you think is your biggest business strength?

I easily build trust and relationships with our internal and external clients. I can talk to anyone, whether it’s a nurse, Director, CFO, etc. Sales is another strength that is second nature to me.

What are some successes or milestones you’ve achieved at NIH Research & Consulting?

Most recently, I’m excited that one of my clients had a record year and I played a major role in that. This particular client started on a month-to-month contract last January. Because I had generated so many leads, the client signed on for the entire year with NIHR after a month.

Share with us a fun fact about you!

My family and I moved to Los Angeles, California last year from Ohio. My daughter is 13 and my son is 11. They both love acting. I wanted to give them the full opportunity to pursue their passions with a ‘YOLO’ mindset. My son currently has a role on a Nickelodeon show. My daughter recently landed a role in the new Captain Marvel movie and just finished a role in a Disney show. I am now a ‘Hollywood Mom’ and it’s been a fun journey. I am really proud of my children and dedicated to helping them pursue their dreams. We also have a 14-year-old Pomeranian, Bouji, and she is the queen of the house!
